GeoComp Data Services Expands, Becomes GeoComp Energy
GeoComp partners with experienced E&P professionals to enhance its operations and maximize opportunities in mature field redevelopment.
AUSTIN, TX – GeoComp Data Services is expanding its operations and joining forces with a team of oil and gas professionals to form GeoComp Energy. The new organization will be headquartered in Austin, Texas, and will employ a team of more than 40 professionals across the regions where it will operate, including Texas and Oklahoma.
GeoComp Energy will be led by oil and gas entrepreneur Cody Davis, who was named CEO. Kurt Rottman, previously principal of GeoComp Data Services and published expert in the field of geology, will serve as an advisor to the Board of Directors. They are joined by oil and gas professionals from Texas and Oklahoma who have previously built portfolios of producing assets in Southeastern Wyoming, Central Oklahoma, South Texas, Southeastern Kansas, and the Gulf Coast.
The company’s primary focus will be to revitalize legacy oil and gas fields through innovative technologies and practices. Many members of GeoComp’s in-house technical team have played a pivotal role in the advancement of mature oil field redevelopment. The organization will rely on strategies that combine a scientific approach and proven methodology with thoroughly vetted prospects to further the organization’s track record of success.
GeoComp Energy’s initial oil and gas prospects are located in prolific fields, and include the Wilcox, Viola, and Simpson Dolomite formations. The company also plans to unveil a project in Oklahoma in the upcoming weeks.
